As a result of billing hourly with a fee cap, our clients can achieve cost effective, yet artistically satisfying results. Part of what distinguishes Hansen Architects is how we do, and do not use computer aided design. While we are fully capable of drawing on the computer, we do not believe that during design, using the computer is the best way to visualize a building's potential. Instead we use quickly drawn perspective sketches by hand. This has two major benefits. First, it reduces the architectural fee because hand drawings take only minutes compared with a 3-D computer rendering which can take 20-40 hours to load one line at a time.
